They are currently looking for a Technical Architect. This candidate must
have experience with an Business Objects, MicroStrategy and Informatica.
Under minimal direction, this position will identify and analyze business
problems at the program or system level, design solutions, and identify
impact of proposed changes for projects of moderate complexity. The position
may be involved in various concurrent functions of systems support,
including system development, testing of functionality, user support, and
communication with business partners and vendors. System design and
construction are the main focal points for this position, along with growing
proficiency with various development tools and environments on multiple
platforms.
*Responsibilities:**
*
· Work with end users and business analysts to ensure tight fit
between Business Intelligence environment and business requirements.
· Employ BI design experience with multi-dimensional data warehouse
environments.
· Configure BI tools, develop the semantic layer and metadata,
create reports and report definitions.
· Analyze proposed changes at a system level and recommend designs
and solutions that minimize impact to interfacing systems while maximizing
code re-usability and maintaining business value.
· Translate business requirements and functional specifications into
detailed system and program design specifications and provide time
estimates.
· Create and execute unit, system, and integration tests and
validate test results independently.
· Work with the lead to develop and implement acceptance tests and
validate test results with the appropriate business partners.
· Prepare effective written communication to document project
status, issues, and requirements and report status to project lead.
· Evaluate available options for development/testing tools and
utilities to determine best fit, expanding knowledge in one or more areas of
technical specialization.
· Understand and mentor team members on the integration of system
components required to accomplish a specific objective.
· Code structured program changes to new or existing programs using
multiple programming languages/platforms.
· Provide team members guidance to ensure the smooth development and
installation of assigned projects on schedule.
· Provide timely and accurate on-call support for production
applications
· 5+ years as a Business Intelligence Developer or Architect.
· 2+ years of MicroStrategy Development Tools, Service Modules, and
User Interfaces experience (must have active experience within the past 12
months).
· Multiple years of programming experience using multiple languages,
databases, development environments and platforms.
· Multiple years experience performing application and system design
and troubleshooting tasks.
· Prior experience performing on-call support for production
applications.
