*Role: **Oracle DBA* *Location –* Nashville, TN * * *Duration* – 12+ Months Rate/hr – DOE *Interview* - Phone + In Person *Job Description:* · Design, build, and maintain database this is a multi-terabyte data warehouse. · Responsible for providing technical assistance to staff and other contractors to support the maintenance of the data warehouse and to support the use of the data for analysis. · Oversee the importing of data from client’s data collection contractor during the initial population of the data warehouse and during quarterly updates of the data warehouse. · Should be able to demonstrate verbal and written communication skills sufficient for working on a collaborative team over email, phone, and in person. · Monitor the data warehouse’s system performance · Evaluate information gathered from users and other staff and contractors · Recommend changes to data warehouse systems to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Duties will include evaluating and recommending changes to data warehouse systems and implementing new or revised systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to technical standards · Determining necessary actions to recover from problems or failures; instructing users in the use of database software to enhance database system usage, facilitate problem resolution, and maximize customer services · Checking the data for cleanliness and cleaning the data. *Required Skills:* · Minimum 8 yrs IT experience with minimum of 6 yrs DBA experience · 3 yrs experience working in collaborative groups · 3 yrs experience developing and evaluating large data sets for statistical analysis using SAS · 3 yrs experience maintaining large data warehouses (over 500 gigabytes) · 3 yrs experience with Business Intelligence software, analysis, reporting and OLAP · 3 yrs experience using DML language such as PL/SQL and SQL · 3 yrs experience using Oracle RDBMS system on Linux or Unix · 3 yrs experience with both relational and dimensional data modeling and data modeling tools · 3 yrs experience with building, scheduling and running ETL processes · 3 yrs hands on experience in Linux or Unix shell scripting preferred · Bachelor's or advanced degree in mathematics or computer science from an accredited university preferred · Self-motivated and able to work independently Please send a *Word copy* of your updated resume if you are interested.
