Position:* *Oracle Developer
Location: Durham, NC
Duration: 12+ Months
MUST HAVE SKILLS
-Oracle 9i/10g with 5 years of experience.
-Oracle PL/SQL with 5 years of experience.
-Unix Scripting with minimum 2 years of
experience.Idealy between 2 to 5 years.
***NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
- Thorough understanding of Oracle 10G features, Expertise in advanced
PL/SQL techniques in a 9i or 10g environment
- Expertise in SQL tuning of large database environments (1+ terabytes)
- Experience programming PL/SQL batch environment utilizing large tables
and high transaction throughput requirements
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple development
teams across concurrent project tasks
- Preferred experience in Informatica 8, HTML and JavaScript.
- Preferred experience with Oracle Java procedures.
- Preferred experience with MQ series.
- Preferred experience in JDBC and J2EE.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
- Participates in all areas of system development, including requirements,
design, coding, testing, installation, and support to assure quality system
changes.
- Identifies system enhancements/requirements/specifications, determines
development impacts to current system processing and writes application
code that meets requirements.
- May communicate with both internal and external business partners.
- Documents clearly all technical and design specifications for on-going
maintenance.
- Provides guidance to and reviews the work of other team members.
- Investigates ways to improve existing processes and implements process
improvements.
- Must be highly proficient in Oracle, Unix, Korn shell script, SQL,
SQL*Loader, TOAD, SFTP and PL/SQL development.
- Must be highly proficient in data interface programming using XML, Web
services and MQSeries.
