*QA Analyst (Property & Casualty)* * * *Location –* Providence, RI (NY, RI, CT, NH, VT, ME, PA only) * * *Duration* – 6+ Months *Rate/hr* – DOE *Interview* - Phone + In Person *Domain *- Insurance *Job Description: *Our candidate will be reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Manager, Client e-Business Systems. The interview process will be a phone screen followed by an in-person interview in Johnston, RI. This is a contract role that will last for six months plus. The candidate will have some BA responsibilities. They will be in constant communication with the Development groups. Our candidate must be able to communicate to present ideas, solutions and project updates to the IT project team which will consist of several (C) level employees.** This person will play the role as Senior Quality Assurance Specialist on projects that are corporate objectives. Previous e-Business solution or client extranet experience within a large environment is highly desired. This position contributes directly and provides consultation in the analysis, design, and execution of effective Quality Assurance procedures and defect prevention/detection processes for corporate and client area information systems, across multiple computing environments. Determines and reports the quality of a product release at any time by quantifying the degree to which it meets the defined and implied user requirements. Ultimately, the goal of this position is to ensure the system delivered will address the organization's business need or problem as defined in the requirements. * * *Technical Skills Required:* · Web application testing experience, preferably sharepoint · Knowledge of service oriented architecture (SOA) · Web services testing experience using XML · Write SQL queries · Work with test tools – HP Quality Center · Test processes *The person in this position should possess the following abilities:* · Ability to identify detail business design requirements which need to be tested and determines what constitutes an appropriate test for each and every requirement. Identify requirements that need clarification in order to develop an appropriate test. Develop test plans covering the aggregation of testing requirements identified. · Skills to develop and maintain specific test cases (i.e. test data, test processes, and test results) for component/assembly testing, integration testing, system testing, security and control testing, online help and user interface testing, conversion testing, and regression testing. · Work closely with the development team. Ability to participate in code reviews to clarify requirements, validate test cases, and provide feedback to the development team. · Ability to plan, test, and report the results of manual and automated functional testing; identifies and tracks defects and interacts with development staff to isolate and resolve; retests to confirm defects have been corrected. Participate in defect management/triage. Validate functionality across system releases. Develops automated test scripts where appropriate. · Experience in determining compliance with test plans and procedures; tracks development of project artifacts necessary for Quality Assurance throughout the lifecycle; ensures that projects adhere to methodology and standard practices. · Ability to support load, stress, performance, and reliability testing efforts and associated analysis. · Experience to ensure test environments are properly configured and available for each project as scheduled. Implement automated testing tools. Perform periodic system audits to ensure that only controlled versions of the software reside in the appropriate environments and communicate deployment status to project team. · Ability to promote necessary level of communication among the team to ensure QA efforts are appropriate, visible, and well understood.
