Position: System Tester Location: Herndon, VA Duration: Long Term Need GC . Citizen and EAD only. *Description: * Tester participates in application analysis, test strategy development, test case creation, test script development, test execution, defect tracking and reporting. The candidate may also be required to train end users. The senior level Tester must be able to work in conjunction with current senior development and senior QA staff on an existing high profile, multi-million dollar financial application. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior knowledge of QA methodologies and known industry best practices in a consultative but progressive environment under challenging timelines. The selected candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in an industry best practice methodology driven testing environment and a minimum of 5 years overall experience. In house methodologies and small shop experience will limit the candidate’s potential to succeed. The selected candidate will possess a strong sense of personal responsibility to ensure quality releases of the client’s product. A “get it done” type of attitude is required. Must possess a flexible and personable approach in a team environment and undertake any role regardless of position or seniority. Analysis of the business requirement’s to produce test requirements is an extremely necessary skill as well as a dedicated desire to understand the business. Participate in design meetings from a testing perspective to build quality into the development process. Engage in testing strategy concepts with recommendations from previous experience on complicated financial applications. *Services:* * * 1. Developing system test plan that con-forms to the SDLC 2.0 standard, and de-sign full coverage test matrix for the functionalities to be delivered by for CAPRI initiative. 2. Developing test specification document for the test cases listed in the full coverage matrix., and creating executable test cases. 3. Developing necessary test tools (eg unix script, XML stylesheet) to facilitate the actual test. 4. Analyzing test results and drawing test conclusion based on relevant reference results or baseline, or using financial judgment; 2. Writing testing report and archiving test artifacts. 3.
