*C# Asp .Net Developer* *Location –* Richmond, VA * * *Duration* – 6+ Months Rate/hr – - *Interview* - Phone + In Person *PURPOSE OF THE JOB* Client is seeking an experienced and team-oriented Software Engineer II to develop new and exciting technologies using the Microsoft’s .NET Framework 3.5. The perfect candidate is energetic, self-motivated, and enjoys being a key contributor in a fast-paced environment. Decision factors will be based on how well the individual works in a team environment and the strength of technical skills. Primary development will focus solely on web-based enterprise applications, with secondary tasks to include assisting other developers, contributing to software architecture, and assisting in the development of software standards. Experience with Windows Mobile/CE development and the .NET compact framework is a real plus. Applicants should be familiar with the software development life-cycle and should feel comfortable working in an n-tier development environment. Candidates should have strong written, verbal, and communication skills. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES* · Designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-wide web applications using ASP.net, VB.net, C#, AJAX, JavaScript/JQuery, and XML. · Knowledge of application performance tuning regarding load balancing and memory/data management. · Design, develop and maintain n-tier business and data tiers including learning a custom framework built in the .NET 3.5 framework. · Understands IIS 7 including management and setup. · Able to develop using newer language and technology features of the .NET framework including WCF services, LINQ, and Lambda Expressions. · Good understanding of SQL and Stored Procedures, Triggers, and related database skills (Progress experience is a plus). · Keeping current with new technologies and software methodologies related to the Microsoft software development platform. · Create and maintain code libraries and documentation. · Analyzing, tracking and fixing defects in current applications written in ASP.net, VB.net, & C#. *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* · Experience with XML, XML Schemas, XSLT, and related technologies. · JQuery. · Screen scraping / web crawling technologies. · SQL Reporting Services and Report building. · SQL database management and SQL tuning.
