*Position Functions or Responsibilities:*

·       Designs, develops, builds and maintains CI program for the iLearn
2.0 project.

·       Interacts with members of the Infrastructure, QA and Development
teams to ensure that CI requirements are clearly defined and CI goals are
met

·       Supports training and knowledge sharing efforts about CI platform,
tools, environments & scripts.

·       Acts as Go To person for CI issues as they arise in the iLearn
project

·       Works with Infrastructure, QA and Development teams to maintain
reliable CI environment and deployment scripts to ensure smooth running of
iLearn development and test efforts

·       Participates in the documentation and socialization of version
naming, branching and coding standards and any other standards as needed to
build out the CI effort.

·       Performs troubleshooting of CI problems to isolate issues and
resolve any issues in a timely manner

·       Contributes to the preparation of test environments

·       Prepares and circulates regular status updates on the CI effort and
integration efforts of software under development

·       Participates in the test effort as needed by running tests and
reporting software defects and test findings as needed by the overall QA
effort and in support of Dev & QA schedule commitments

·       Contributes to development of test tools and routines for QA of
iLearn 2.0

·       Collaborates broadly with members of the QA, development and
infrastructure teams to efficiently isolate and resolve issues that block or
impede the CI effort

Project Description:

Under general supervision of the Director of Quality Assurance, with dotted
line to DIIT Enterprise Server Architecture and DIIT Director of Web
Services, and with wide latitude for the exercise of independent initiative
and judgment, serves as Release Engineer.  Responsible for performing the
range of computer systems analysis functions such as administration of
source control system (Visual Studio), documentation and socialization of
coding standards, automation of application deployment to CI environment,
formalizing and socializing best practices, processes and tools required to
support a successful Continuous Integration system.  Additionally, this
position will support QA test efforts in development of tools and automated
tests that support CI and the QA effort.

3 years experience authoring build scripts, integrating automated checks of
code quality and automating the deployment process for C#, Java, ESB and SQL
Server environment;Experience with static analysis, unit tests and UAT tests
and their integration into build verification routines

Experience with Visual Source Safe and Visual Studio Source
control;Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Msbuild and
TeamBuild languages;Experience providing Release Engineering in an
environment with enterprise grade (complex) configuration management
challenges;Proven ability to work collaboratively with Development Team
representatives to streamline and enhance internal processes and scalability
with the goal of improving operational efficiency;Working knowledge of and
experience with Windows and Linux Systems administration
