Network QA Location: RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA Duration: 3+ months Req Details: Must-haves * Thorough understanding & experiences in system software testing methodology, especially in cable/Telecom/IP industry. Hands-on experience with white-box & black-box testing * Comfortable & experience with in fast paced Agile development process. Strong ability to successfully drive and execute work in a dynamic environment. Experience with successfully working with offshore resources. * Strong knowledge of QA test processes including test planning, development, execution, and results reporting. Strong technical written and verbal communication. * Deep technical expertise in digital video technology & high reliability video delivery in wired & wireless environment. Hands-on experiences with video content workflow & delivery. * Hands-on experiences with video streaming solutions, such as Silverlight and Flash. Thorough understand of video compression (mpeg) & transportation stream protocols & analysis tools. * Capable of configuration network gears for high reliability video delivery. Understand various network standards. Familiar with high speed optical networking technology. * Familiar with various types of local & global load balancing. Familiar with high reliability network and server fault tolerance testing. Day-to-Day * The engineer is responsible for ensuring proper & timely integration & testing of digital video to consumer devices. The engineer is expected to have in depth knowledge and experiences in system integration & testing of end-to-end digital video delivery system & devices on cable and IP networks. * Lead in capacity as senior level system integration and test engineer. Review and analyze technical requirements & system documents. Understand the technology. Interact with various groups & stake holders to determine appropriate test strategies and action plans. * Validate and verify applications in an integrated end-to-end environment. Create test requirement, use cases, & test plans. Create, execute, and report on test scripts/cases. * Coordinating integration & test activities among test team members and stake holders in other functional groups. Lead application integration team to resolve all relevant technical issues to ensure timely execution & high quality completion of all integration & test activities. * Partner with development and product teams to identify product and technical requirements to create a comprehensive test suite.
