*Title: QA/Data Validation*** *Location: Nashville, TN* *Duration: 6Months* *Summary: *Responsible for the creation, implementation and execution of test plans, test scripts and test cases for software project releases. Performs under minimal supervision significantly complex testing of software applications. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ** *• Develops and maintains master test plan for software project releases. • Manages the overall test process per the testing methodology, and ensures the testing methods meet the specifications. • Specifies and coordinates the creation and maintenance of relevant test environments and infrastructure. Uses script checks to verify a healthy test environment. • Designs, develops and executes software test plans for assigned area or application(s). • Develops, maintains and upgrades manual test scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required to execute test plans. • Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written forms. • Controls and manages daily test activities for assigned area or application(s). • Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. • Identifies risks and develops mitigation strategies. • Evaluates the overall test process. • Coordinates project planning efforts with other areas or cost centers affected by work unit projects. • Coordinates fail-over testing when new or major changes are made to an infrastructure. • Administers and controls test tools. • Organizes and maintains the test script library for assigned area or application(s). • May mentor or train other Test Analysts in processes, methods, tools and best practices. • Performs other related duties as assigned. *Qualifications: *To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Some decision-making.* **Experience: ** *Looking for a Specialist Quality Assurance Analyst with full life-cycle test, writing test plans, developing test cases and implementing test strategies; including two years leading complex test programs and two years experience with testing tools; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Min 6-7 years of experience in *QA* (not just overall) • Very detailed & organized and can work with minimum direction • Excellent analysis skills with ability to think logically • Extensive experience with identifying test coverage and ‘break scenarios’ • Can independently analyze available complex requirements (with nested business rules) and develop detailed test cases (positive, negative) OR, • Can work under minimum supervision to analyze applications with little or no supporting documentation and develop test cases around them • Excellent documentation skills; can author detailed test plans and test cases • Can develop test data bed by researching relevant data sources (including SQL databases using queries) • Perform functional testing and report defects using Excel, SharePoint Issue Tracker • Perform manual regression testing of limited scope by intelligently identifying high impact areas • Maintain all documentation in an organized manner (using SharePoint) • Understands Configuration Management and code versioning • Tech reqs: MS Office (especially Excel), SharePoint, SQL (simple to moderately complex queries) • Driven, teachable and Motivated • Can gel with a team of peers and superiors • Domain experience in the Payment Processing industry or United States Taxes is a big plus • Experience with Selenium for test automation is a big plus *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ** *• Extensive knowledge of methods, tools, and technology used in software testing • Extensive knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools, and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets the needs of the client/business partner • Considerable knowledge of the basic principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies • Considerable knowledge of primary database engines such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries to be used for data validation and troubleshooting • Considerable knowledge of object-oriented development tools, techniques, and principles with expertise in at least one object-oriented language • Considerable knowledge of functions, features, and components of existing and planned operating systems and applications • Considerable knowledge of project management principles, methods and tools that is demonstrated through test projects • Considerable skill in understanding and focusing on the clients’ needs, establishing credibility and building relationships with clients • Considerable skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving • Ability to manage change throughout the test process • Ability to deliver results under pressure • Ability to manage conflicting interests and identify compromises • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills, working with technical and non-technical individuals at various levels of management and non-management positions • Ability to communicate with individuals at a level appropriate for the audience • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors and public • Ability to effectively lead and supervise Thanks & Regards, *Sailaja* *XpertTech Inc 400 W Cummings Park, Suite#5450A Woburn, MA-01801* *phone:781- 336-4695 Email: **[email protected]* <[email protected]> *Fax: 781-207-0709 **www.xperttech.com* <http://www.xperttech.com/> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Business Objects User Group" group.
