Please send your profiles to [email protected] *DBA Opening* *Location –* Minneapolis, MN * * *Duration* – 7+ Months *Rate/hr* – *Interview* - Phone + In Person *Please see full description below, however, main skill set is SAP and DB2!!!* *Position Responsibilities :* · Perform duties commonly expected of a Senior Database Administrator · Perform SAP application installations, upgrades and production support · Identify and implement DB2 database performance improvements · Assist in the evaluation of SAP applications and application components · Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation · Create new and maintain existing SAP Basis standard operating procedures · Correspond with SAP and IBM operational support organizations · Perform or support scheduled DB2 system administration duties to include but not limited to database backups, system outages, system refreshes, etc. · Provide DB2 technical support to development and functional teams · Mentor less experienced SAP Basis administrators · Collaborate effectively with other teams on requirements gathering, process improvement and in the design, development, and implementation of an SAP architecture to promote a scalable, robust, and manageable environment. · Develop initiatives and strategies to promote and manage change in processes, tools and technologies. · Design and implement architectural solutions to promote a scalable, robust, and manageable environment. · Troubleshoot and tune database environment and define performance thresholds. Responsible for assisting with SAP system tuning and recommending SAP application tuning options to meet business service level agreements. · Provide technical guidance to SAP application development teams and assist with problem resolution. · Analyze data access, integration, and storage requirements for DB2 databases. · New SAP instance installation support, table reorganizations, connectivity, patches, upgrades, and general maintenance. · Leverage enterprise systems management tools for monitoring and job scheduling. · Create and implement DB2 backup/recovery and disaster recovery methods. · Comply with and enforce change management procedures. * YEARS OF EXPERIENCE :* 8+ years Information Technology administration and support in a global environment * SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:* 8+ years DB2 Administration and performance tuning in an AIX/DB2 environment Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with others to support SAP applications High motivation to succeed Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and maintain a clear purpose while working under pressure Strong customer relationship skills Strong oral and written communication skills Able to work non-traditional hours as needed Business fluency in English Able to understand and operate within complex technical environments Experience in global SAP implementation programs Team player; innovative and a self-starter Solid troubleshooting and problem solving skills Able to consider multiple pieces of information to analyze and resolve complex issues Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills Strong interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Please send candidates with resume, name, e-mail address, phone number, rate, and current location.
