C++ Developer Location: STAMFORD, CT Duration: 6+ months Req Details: These positions will all be working in IT Operations supporting many of the mid and back office functions or supporting the repo desk and firm funding front to back. Some of business areas that will be supported include settlements, funding, reconciliation, trade accounting, checkout, reference data management, repo desk and mortgage processing including allocations. General Responsibilities of the team * Design and implementation of multi-tiered applications and reporting that are used by Operations globally. * Enhance and support an existing proprietary system which manages the books and records of the firm. * Develop and maintain trade processing and other workflow related applications * Develop trade, position and reconciliation automation through working with internal business users and external utilities to resolve workflow related issues * Assist in managing the entire software lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment and documentation. * Work closely with business users and other IT staff to test and roll out new and enhanced applications. * Support and maintain existing systems and work on special projects as needed. This position requires a minimum of 3 years experience. This candidate should be proficient in C++ and Unix (any flavor), with experience using relational databases (such as Sybase or Oracle).
