• Performs and leads processes related to testing activities for new
software development systems and applications
• Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the
delivery of quality software applications
• Serves as a mentor to lower level testing analysts and may provide work
direction to others in project team(s)
• May provide supervision to direct reports including performance management
and associate development
• Ability to work independently to define, manage, and complete activities
• Knowledge of the software testing discipline and its integration with
software development life cycle
• Ability to track and develop metrics for testing
• Experience implementing testing processes/methodology in large, complex,
diversified, global organizations
• Experience with all types of major system development and deployment
projects, especially using COTS solutions
• Experience with Facilitation, Database testing, Test Automation,
Performance testing, Data driven testing, IT Strucured Software Testing,
TestDirector, QTP, Testing Specialized, Win Runner, Load Runner, QTP
• Acquires knowledge of the customer's business in assigned area and
industry
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Proven problem solving ability
• Able to interpret requirement documents and able to update test documents
accordingly
• To the extent that it is reasonable, goes the “extra mile” to make sure
that each individual’s needs are met.
• Tailors the information to appeal to the level and interest of others
• Outlines potential cost/savings outcomes of technology use
• Understands how the IT group operates and how his/her role meets customer
needs and creates value
• Identifies opportunities or problems and acts quickly and decisively to
respond to the situation
• Takes initiative to work on challenging or “stretch” work assignments
• Bachelor of Science degree or Equivalent
