The ideal candidate for this role is motivated and results-oriented with the
ability to work with a diverse group of individuals within the company.
This position will work closely with IT and business teams across the
organization on SharePoint infrastructure and development projects.
*Responsibilities*
- Responsible for infrastructure, topology code repository/deployment,
and administration of multiple MOSS/2007 SharePoint farms and environments
- Provide technical support, mentorship, and guidance to the SharePoint
Services team
- Partner with the development team to produce solid solutions that align
systems with both industry and organizational standards while ensuring all
applications are in compliance with established standards, guidelines and
industry best practices
- Produce and maintain documentation for supported systems including
architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and detailed design
documents
- Support the implementation and maintenance of solutions developed with
SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio
- Work with defect tracking, source code control and software release
systems to ensure high-quality software release
- Maintain infrastructure of all applications and ensure the team meets
their service level agreements
- Manage the deployment and testing of regular patches to multiple
environments
- Present solutions to the Enterprise Architecture organization and
regularly leverage their expertise for support and guidance
- Champion governance and usage guidelines for all SharePoint
environments and create/maintain processes related to those initiatives
*Qualifications*
- 5+ years of Windows SharePoint Services v3 (WSS 3.0)
- 4+ years experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS
2007), IIS 6.0, ASP and .NET 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and above, Windows Server 2003
and 2008, Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, and SQL Server 2005
- 5+ years of experience in an application architecture role to include
development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale systems across
multiple platforms
- 3+ years professional experience in Microsoft .NET (C#, VB, ASP)
development and professional experience with IIS/ASP, XML, HTML, and
JavaScript
- 3+ year professional experience with SharePoint development
- 3+ years professional experience with relational databases, preferably
SQL Server
- Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support
- Strong understanding of IT processes, applications, technologies and
tools, including languages, technical architectures, testing methodologies,
databases, system design and modeling
- Proven experience in work effort estimating, hardware and/or software
configuration
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field
preferred
