* * *Senior Application Developer ** **Sr. .Net Back End Developer * *Location : Philadelphia, PA. * *Duration : 6 Months* *Rate : Open * Need for a Senior Application developer through the end of this year. *We are looking for more of a "Back end" developer who can do integration as opposed to a "Front end" developer. * The ideal candidate will be responsible for the ongoing design and development of internal applications. This individual will understand in detail the architecture and implementation of the company’s applications, and will design, develop, code, test, debug, and implement required features and upgrades. This role will also be responsible for understanding and documenting detailed technical design. This position will also be responsible for the long term maintenance of the company’s applications, including developing fixes as necessary, maintaining documentation for applications, and performing other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements include: · Five or more years developing Enterprise level software solutions in a professional setting using one or more of the following technologies: o .NET (C#, ASP .NET, ADO .NET) o Windows Communication Foundation o Windows Workflow Foundation o SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 T-SQL development o JavaScript o XML o JSON o HTML o CSS · Proficient in object oriented design · Utilizing third-party UI controls, such as Telerik, Infragistics, etc. · Experience in ETL development using SSIS, a plus · Ability to work productively in team environment or independently, with minimal supervision. · High degree of self-motivation with superior analytical skills. · Ability to act independently and proactively to develop innovative solutions and approaches to problems and crisis situations. · Effective written and verbal communications skills, presentation skills, and the ability to communicate well with all levels both within and outside the organization essential. · The ideal candidate will have systems experience in the full development lifecycle including requirements definition, design, programming/testing and implementation of major systems. Responsibilities: · Use internal development standards, design, develop, support and enhance Legion’s application portfolio in a cost effective and timely manner. · Use internally defined standards to schedule and promote system rollouts/updates. This includes coordinating appropriate development, database, network and business personnel to insure high quality deployments with minimal business interruption. · Work closely with the Business Analyst to gain a thorough understanding business processes and data requirements to effectively develop solutions that are aligned with business objectives. · Create and maintain technical documentation to describe system workflow, architecture, software design, and configuration/deployment, and operating procedures. · Based on understanding of requirements, provide management with time and feasibility estimates for development, integration, and testing of system components. · Research, evaluate, install and test third party software packages and upgrades as application platforms or tools.
