Here are the requirement details: *Position : Oracle DBA* *Location : Minneapolis, MN* *Duration : 6+ month’s contract* *Face-to-Face : May be required* *DESCRIPTION:* Client is seeking a Oracle DBA to come in and assist their existing DBA group for ~ 6 months. Production environment is very model centric so background in similar setups is ideal. In addition, candidates with strength in both DB modeling and working with application development teams has been key in the past. *ROLE DETAILS:* - Collaborates with application development team(s) in the analysis of applications requirements, design and construction processes - Creates and maintains physical data models that meet the business and systems requirements - Constructs and supports transactional, operational, and informational data stores in the development and testing environment. Manages changes to the application data model and generates DDL from the model. - Scripts changes into package to be promoted though the environment stack. - Develops and maintains stored procedures, database triggers, packages, and functions as required by the application design. - Manages users* accounts and roles in the development and testing environment. - Assists development teams with achieving optimal application performance. - Partners with developers and data analysts to develop test data for unit testing - Copies or moves data from one database to another as required - Partners with Operations DBA in applying database patches and upgrades to application databases, including coordination of testing, data conversion, and migrations as required - Complies with the established company-wide database standards, best practices, SOPs and the governing directives of the Enterprise Data Architect. *SKILLS SPECIFICALLY REQUIRED:* - Oracle DBA.
