Position :Oracle DBA Date required ASAP Position required : 1 Location: VA PA Overview: We currently have an urgent opening for a Oracle DBA for Reston / Philadelphia, PA. This candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong drive and experience in Oracle 10g/11g RAC, ASM Clustering, GoldenGate data Integration, Backup and Recovery mechanism. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Database design and support and understanding of broad architecture within a telecom organization. Responsibilities: ? Defining, Planning and Implementing GoldenGate Data integration across data centers ? Defining, Planning and Implementing Clustering in a RAC configuration ? Database Administration - execution of change controls, routine maintenance, SQL scripting, Unix Shell scripting, performance monitoring, tuning, and Database diagnostics ? Oracle database application designs- like Transportable tablespace, Partition exchanges and management. ? Must support, domain leadership on Emergency Response calls (ERT), driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Preventative action follow-though, and participation in weekly operations reviews ? Develop and implement Database security policies and procedures, in line with corporate objectives ? Regular proactive capacity planning and tending reviews of all oracle databases. ? Project Estimation process - including attending project kick-offs and design reviews as necessary to appropriately size new environments, recommend infrastructure solutions and deliver associated cost and resource effort estimates ? Maintain detailed technical documentation (e.g. standards, process, Run Books) ? Assist development teams in review of database model and data migration strategies ? Mentors and trains junior DBAs, as necessary Qualifications: ? Bachelor's degree from an accredited university ? 7+ years of experience with data modeling with Logical and Physical database layout ? 7+ years of experience directly working with SQL, PL/SQL, PERL/Unix Shell, tuning and debugging ? 5+ years of experience in Oracle Database backups using RMAN / Manual scripting ? 5+ years of experience in capacity planning and performance tuning ? 2+ years of experience in ASM Clustering, Streams replication, ASO (TDE all aspects, Data Vault etc.) ? 2+ years of experience in GoldenGate Data Integration ? Demonstrate expert level proficiency in Oracle11g RAC, Streams and ODI ? Demonstrate expert level proficiency in Backup and Recovery mechanism ? Demonstrate proficiency in Oracle Data Guard ? Demonstrate ability to manage multiple configurations with multiple Oracle level installs (10G-11G) ? Demonstrate proficiency in use of modeling tools like Erwin, Visio, etc. Preferred: ? Demonstrates excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills ? Exhibits the ability and tenacity to resolve open issues ?
