Skills Needed · Testing administration and test execution skills. · Technical writing skills to develop test plans and protocols. · Good analytical skills. · Proven problem solving skills. · Skills and in the use of technologies for detecting and tracking defects. · Communication skills, to communicate information effectively to marketing, managers and technical staff. · Organizational skills, to work with the vast array of information gathered during the testing process. · Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as product management, and engineering). Knowledge Needed · Knowledge of modern test methodologies. · · Knowledge in concepts of databases, Windows based applications and browser based applications. · Understanding of quality assurance processes and methods used in software development. · An understanding of how to practice software testing administration and execution according to standard software development life cycles in a team environment. · Knowledge of product management concepts and how software products are positioned and developed. · Knowledge of FDA regulated product development environments, to have credibility with user representatives and be able to work effectively with them in a team based environment.
