this specific migration scenario.
Complete Description:
TAS 2- Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
Job requirement:
Architect a software solution for the company intranet. The current site
runs on the internal corporate network using classic ASP. It serves as a
portal for other applications making uptime critical throughout the company.
The existing intranet site offers some dynamic and some static content that
must be maintained in the redesign.
The new site must be designed for access from the internal network as well
as use over the internet [company extranet] taking into consideration
limited bandwidth capabilities and multiple internet browsers. Internal
creative design team is developing the UI design to be implemented.
Migration path must be designed and documented using Microsoft .NET
framework 4.0 for the future site. Application architecture must support
consistent and reusable navigation, database access, logging and exception
handling, and consistent use of any required third-party tools. Employee
notifications and portability of features to mobile devices is important for
the many front-line employees who do not have workstation access throughout
the day. The site must be scalable for access by potentially 11,000
employees, with graphics, video streaming, Oracle database access, and
dynamic user-defined content.
