Primary Skill: Strong Java J2EE developer who is interested in support
work
We are looking for a strong Java Developer with where the primary focus will
be on application support/troubleshooting.
--Required Skills--
Required Technical Skills:
1. Strong Java J2EE developer (preferably Java 5)
2. Must have 5-8 years of applied java development experience
**Mainframe (Cobol/TSO) experience a plus
**Visual Basic experience a plus
**Experience with vendor tools/packages a plus
**Ability to set up both local workspace and server environment a plus
Required Soft Skills:
1. Strong in customer service skills
2. Enjoys talking on the phone
3. Likes helping people (Agents)
4. Ability to help difficult people on the phone
5. Requires technical skills for running queries, performing root cause
analysis, and viewing log files
6. Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
7. Strong communication skills
8. Willingness to learn new systems
9. Self-starter with good work ethic
10.Ability to complete tasks with little supervision
Preferred skills UI skills:
1. STRUTS
2 Java Script
3. Spring – STRUTS integration
Preferred Data Side skills:
1. Hibernate and/or Spring JDBC
2. JMS/MDB
3. Web service experience / SOA
4. Database - Oracle, DB2
Other tools/skills that would be a plus:
1. IDE: MyEclipse
2. Eclipse IDE (WSAD) CVS
3. J-Unit
4. Application design
5. Application support
6. Object Oriented Development
