*Immediate need for Data Migration Specialist* *Location: NYC* *Duration: 3 Months+ and Extendable* *Objectives* The Data Migration Specialist will act as a resource for DFAM to assist with activities related to the implementation of the new VISION system, and will report to Administrative Management Services, Deputy Director. *Data elements covered by assignment: * Master Data – Business Area, WBS, Grant (G), Fund, Description, Asset ID number, Asset Class, Asset Sub Class, Asset Type, Asset Value, Control Assignment. There are three primarily tasks that the Data Migration Specialist will perform and they are detailed below: *Data Cleansing * Evaluate the completeness and validity of master data elements. *Data Mapping * Review data Elements and assigning new master data elements and mapping of data from legacy system to VISION. Data Transfer and Verification/Validation Provide assistance to Asset Management lead and Field Services Unit in data formatting based upon data migration template specifications Build early data uploads as needed Trouble shoots for potential errors Perform manual migration activities, where required Document reconciliation process from legacy system (s) to VISION Check migrated balances to ensure that the data has transferred correctly (i.e., according to the functional specifications) Run reports from legacy systems and VISION to verify that totals values and other detailed information is accurate *Deliverables:* Report/Schedules related to cleansing of master and transactional data Mapping tables Reformatted data worksheets Document the reconciliation and validation process and results Weekly progress report Communications to other teams, Divisions/Sections or field offices, as required *Your Profile*: Previous experience with data migration activities. Good working knowledge of asset management information systems, a strong background in SAP.
