This role provides technical leadership to Data Warehousing of the Business
Intelligence, Analytics, and Data Warehousing team in the Information
Services group. Oversight includes data architecture(Erwin), data
integration(Data Stage, Quality Stage), data flow design, business
intelligence architecture (Cognos), enterprise data warehouse design (SQL
Server), capacity planning, virtualized environment management, code
migration through development, QA, and production, data security, and
support. Hands-on experience in database administration, physical data
modeling, and semantic data modeling. The candidate will work with
different groups within the Information Services Department and users.
*Required Skills:*
- Conduct design sessions with key technical and business analysts on the
BI/Data Warehouse and provide strategic technical direction.
- Define and ensure standards for technology and business process are
established.
- Serves the technical contact for users and other teams to resolve data
warehousing issues.
- Collaborate with and manage vendor technical staff in building the
BI/data warehouse.
- Perform typical Database Administration functions, e.g., development
and design of database strategies, monitoring and improving database
performance and capacity, and planning for future expansion requirements.
Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard data.
Experience in virtual environment is a plus
- Create a robust, scalable, sustainable architecture that supports
requirements and provides for expansion given budgetary constraints and
availability of data and skilled resources.
- Perform physical data modeling and semantic data modeling.
- Provide production support and maintenance of BI/DW solutions.
- Create technical project plans and staffing models.
- Identify technical gaps and mitigates risks. Experience in health care
provider industry is a plus.
