*Position : BI Developer Location : St. Louis, MO Duration : 3+ Months Contract Note: Minimum 8-10 years of experience required Certification is highly desired* This person will be responsible for modeling, developing, modifying, and maintaining data marts, cubes in Microsoft data warehouse/Business Intelligence environment to support the reporting and analysis needs of the organization. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relational data base concepts, including data architecture, , data warehouse concepts, operational data stores, data marts, OLAP cubes, ETL processes, interface processes, multidimensional modeling, master data management, and data manipulation. Should have strong experience in tools such as ERWIN data modeler, SSIS, SSAS,SQL server 2008, SQL, MDX queries. Experience in .Net programming, Crystal Reports and Business Objects tools like Web Intelligence, Xcelsius is desirable. The person must be able to function with minimal supervision/direction, regularly operates under deadlines and may be subject to heavy workloads. Details: at least 5 years experience with analysis, design and development of data marts, cubes in Microsoft business intelligence/DWH environment, and Microsoft SSIS/SSRS/SSAS required Should have excellent knowledge in SQL Server 2008, and in depth knowledge of database design, principles and DWH techniques Three years required, five years preferred, of experience in developing SQL queries, MDX queries. Experience in Stored procedures, SQL query optimization is a plus. Two years development experience in Business Objects Web Intelligence, Xcelsius and Universes is a plus Three years experience in the use of data modeling tools to create and maintain data models based upon complex business needs. Prefer experience with the ERwin data modeling application. Strong Knowledge of Star Schema – Advance Data ware house techniques required identify and document the business requirements behind data analysis needs. Support existing Data Warehouse infrastructure and reporting tools and all new developments Create and document data model specifications based on the business requirements presented by the analysts. Develop physical and/or logical data models designed to support the needs of decision analysts. Researches, analyzes, and understands entity business flow in order to facilitate data model development. Facilitates system wide data integrity and standardization as identified by system leaders and/or system level teams. Demonstrates a verbal ability to translate technical information into terminology understood by all levels. Possesses the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms with a wide range of health care professionals.
