*Position: SAN Engineer * *Location: San Francisco, CA* *Duration: 6 months + * * * *Notes: Background checks are required on hire.* *Overview:* Responsible for the design, development and deployment of systems components, including enterprise infrastructure, information systems, ERP applications, and Internet technologies. - Projects are typically focused on both software and hardware components. - Evaluates existing systems to understand capabilities and recommend solutions. - Work with non-technical business owners to understand needs and develop a technical solution. - Participates in the layout design and installation of new systems or modification of existing systems. - Develop and manage systems integration projects. - Identifies and resolves existing system deficiencies. - Must have strong communication skills to interact with business counterparts. - 10+ years of prior systems engineering experience in large enterprise environments is required. - Experienced in DMX Storage, SRDF, BCV technology. - Knowledgeable about MDS SAN, Lun Masking, Zones etc . - Familiarity with IBM SVC storage. *Detailed description:* - Design, document and build infrastructure components related to storage solution requirements from application, systems and database teams - Design and develop monitoring systems that provide proactive, rather than reactive notifications to key business units and IT members - Will perform on-going optimization of the systems to ensure adequate capacity, availability and scalability.
