This role will assist in the resolution of platform issues pertaining to the BOE XI R3 platform, including integration with other technical components and systems. This includes selecting, blueprinting, gathering requirements, designing, and rolling out solutions to end users. The BOE XI Engineer is also responsible for in-depth testing. *Responsibilities: * - Engineer solutions of current R3 platform issues - Engineer supporting technologies of BOE XI R3e.g. Monitoring, - Disaster Recovery, Security, Migration, SSO, Archiving, etc. - Monitor capacity planning of BOE XI environment - Debug problems, testing and implementing changes - Support Sandbox and Unit/Dev BOE XI R3 environments (administration of system, users, and security) - Provide Level 3 Support for the Test/Model & Production BOE XI R3 environments - Conduct root cause analysis - Work with customers, business analysts and technical staff to support, maintain and enhance BOE XI components, business intelligence solutions, and procedures - Take lead in these efforts to define tasks and create team work plans - Ability to estimate complex work effort and deliver based on commitments - Ability to solve complex technical problems, assimilate information rapidly, and work under time constraints - Provide input, recommendations, and resolutions for technical issues - Develop, document, and conduct BOE XI system and component test plans *Requirements:* - 8+ years of SAP Business Objects (BOE XI) engineering and/or administration experience (deployments, troubleshooting, configuration, and installation) - Performance tuning/analysis/optimization of XI R3 - Hands-on management of BOE XI infrastructure - Solid Solaris OS and WebSphere Application server experience - LDAP and Siteminder SSO experience - Experience with integrating 3rd party products into enterprise infrastructure - Strong ability to analyze user requirements, make recommendations and implement solution - Experience working in a complex BOE environment - Experience in configuring and administering security in BOXI - Experience in the migration of content between various BOE XI environments - Self-driven and able to troubleshoot and provide quick resolutions to server related issues - Solid understanding and hands-on experience of Business Objects XI Applications (Webi, InfoView, Crystal, Deski, and Universe Designer) - Strong oral and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills - Business Objects certification - Familiar with Data Warehouse concepts including Star Schema - 3 + years’ experience with Hyperion Administration would be preferred.
