Position: Oracle Functional Analyst Duration: 6+ months Location: Boston, MA JD: The ebusiness Suite Oracle Functional Analyst will be responsible for the implementation, customization, extension and support of the Oracle Financials including Cash Management (CM), Fixed Assets, Payables (AP), General Ledger (GL), iexpense, and Accounts Receivable (AR) modules, Work Flow, and Approvals Management (AME). Responsibilities will also include obtaining, delivering, and implementing requirements and functions for these Oracle Financial Apps. The resource will work closely with the IT department on various Oracle Application enhancements and projects and will represent the functional needs of Finance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS: . Collaborate with project team and serve as a liaison between Finance and the IT department to research, analyze, and validate business solutions and ensure the most appropriate and effective solutions are implemented to support the business objective. . Comprehend technical and non-technical solutions that satisfy the strategic direction and requirements of the business, and that conform to the technical architecture, and optimize value to the business. . Provide efficient and effective user support and application setup of the Oracle Financials according to business requirements. . Assist with the definition, creation, and documentation of all business requirements. . Work with the team to support process/system improvement opportunities as well as assisting with and driving change across the organization. . Serve as a functional expert on Oracle eBusiness Suite implementations. . Demonstrate integrity and excellence in interaction and delivery of end product with the various business partners. . Financial Background preferred; must have experience in most if not all modules - AP, AR, FA, GL, CE, and iExpense. MarkView experience a plus. QUALIFICATIONS . Well-versed on Oracle terminology, the Oracle eBusiness Suite of applications and able to be flexible to support other functional areas in addition to Oracle Financials. . Understanding of SQL and SQL*Loader, and TOAD tools a plus. . Experience with Oracle Discoverer, standard reporting modules, and using Oracle's BI tools. . Awareness of Oracle eBusiness Suite development processes and methodologies such as AIM documentation and interface processes, security, best practices, workflow, Oracle forms, and Oracle reports. . Experience working with business process owners and end-users to establish sufficient levels of detailed requirements as well as creating test plans and training documents. . Ability to represent the functional aspect and the business needs and articulate to other team members. . Customer service minded. . Ability to multi-task and efficiently prioritize. . Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and interact across multiple levels of the team - IT, Finance, Trainers, and end users . Ability to comprehend and analyze complex issues and pay attention to details. . Detail oriented with strong analytical and thinking skills. . Proven flexibility and adaptability in changing priorities. . Basic Financial concepts in order to understand the business processes within the applications.
