Solution IT Inc. is looking for an *BI/MicroStrategy Developer* for one of its clients in Hartford, CT.
*Job Title * *BI/MicroStrategy Developer*** *Summary* This individual will serve as a reporting expert on Business Intelligence projects. This position will be responsible for analyzing data needs and requirements of end users to design and create complex reports and dashboards. Additionally, this role will assist in the design and construction of relational databases to meet the business reporting needs. *Responsibilities* · Design, develop and deploy complex MicroStrategy Reporting solutions · Assist the Business Intelligence Architect with data warehouse design and project design for optimal report performance and increased report functionality. · Function as hands-on report expert and guides others in defining and implementing technical specifications for BI solutions. · Mentor/coach others in a team environment. *Required Skills * · At least 3 years of MicroStrategy: version 8 or above (client uses 9.2) · At least 5 years of BI (Business Intelligence) experience · Experience using Microstrategy Architect to design a project including creating facts, attributes, relationships and hierarchies · Microstrategy report development including creating metrics, filters, prompts, consolidations, and custom groups · Some experience with MicroStrategy SDK (software development kit) to customize the look and feel of the user interface. · Microstrategy Report Services Document creation (dashboards) · Microstrategy Intelligence Server and Web administration helpful · Performance tuning Microstrategy reports including configuring VLDB settings · Relevant experience with data centric projects such as data warehouses, relational and dimensional models, analytics and reporting · Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake Schema, OLAP) · Solid understanding of Agile development methodology · Experience with Oracle 10g or higher · Candidate must have an understanding of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing principles and architectures including the concepts (Understanding of Kimball methodologies), designs and usage of data warehouses and data marts. · Be able to lead others and have strong Communications Skills. · Strong analytical, problem identification/solving skills. *Work Site: * * * *Hartford ,CT* *Duration * 12 Months *Expected Start Date*: Immediate - 2 weeks *Number of Positions* 1 -- Regards, Arun* *| Talent Acquisition | Solution IT Inc Direct : 678-528-8443 |Fax : 781-253-0476 Email: [email protected] <[email protected]> | URL: www.solutionit.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Business Objects User Group" group.
