Position: Java Developer Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 8-12months, pssbl extensions NEEDS 4-5 years with WEBSHPERE and 2-3 years with MQ Series - preferably on the back end in a UNIX/Middlewear environment! Must Haves: - 7 years' experience with Java Development specifically proven experience with Systems Integration (Middleware) and Distributed Technology - Hands on experience working with PL/SQL in Java development environment - 5 years of WebSphere Application Sever experience or with similar application servers including JBoss or Sonic - 3 years of experience with WebSphere MQ (V6 required, V7 desired) - Experience working on WebSphere platforms across Unix Platforms (preferably zLinux and Z/OS) - RAD (Rational Application Developer) / Eclipse experience and source control experience (ex. ClearCase) - Proactive problem solver and self starter who can interact and collaborate well with vocal and dynamic team members Plusses: - Z/OS, SOAP, Web Services, or SOA experience - Experience working with high level Transaction Process Systems - Performance engineering experience - WebSphere Products Certification (IBM Certified Designer/IBM Certified Solution Developer) - Database Integration experience - High volume transaction environment - Optimizations of SQL queries Day to Day: This individual will join a global team that is in charge of the company's Middleware functions and development, specifically working with Java Engineers who are developing on the company's middleware platform MAUII. This position encompasses a range of tasks working on the design, development, and testing of highly scalable Java based components that integrate with WebSphere Application server and MQ Series. This group is in charge of a critical infrastructure piece of the company working in a production support role. This is a very stable platform that has zero bugs which means this team needs to make sure any development and augmentations to this platform will stay problem free. They will also be working on a large project that includes a big change to the infrastructure that has never been completed before so they will need high level middleware Java developers focusing on MQ series and WebSphere Applications.
