Strong knowledge, experience in Microsoft Office suite Strong verbal, written skills - specifically in technical writing, documentation (tables, diagrams, etc) Knowledge of following AT&T systems: LOGIC, NISE, HSDSS, CLSEA JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for developing network deployment designs for wireline and broadband infrastructure. Applies the necessary tools and engineering principles to create and design the network infrastructure in accordance with approved guidelines. Coordinates and interfaces with internal customers and suppliers to ensure service and project commitments are met. Uses engineering tools, various software applications, and databases to assist in creating the engineering documents and equipment inventory data. Prepares / oversees cost/benefit estimates, presentations, negotiations, installation, problem resolution, and multi-vendor product integration. May provide initial implementation support of networks/network equipment to assure proper execution and provides resolution for deployment design issues. May provide requirements, test cases and reports for new system feature development or enhancements. Provide project management and documentation as required. Nature of Contribution- Seasoned technical professional who contributes through proven technical expertise. Has significant impact on department or function. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Subject matter expert within own discipline/specialty area and basic knowledge of other disciplines / specialty areas. Deep technical knowledge of telecommunications optical transport circuit technology and design; IPV4/6 addressing and various AT&T 10gbps transport technologies and network elements; strong technical knowledge of AT&T transport circuit facility engineering systems (Operations tools for implementation, inventory, etc). Applies in-depth knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards and processes to work. Integrates industry experience and deep professional/ technical knowledge. Technical leader and recognized expert on select AT&T technologies, systems and/or procedures. Knowledge of CDN, ATT Connect and VoiceTone technology desired, not required. Expertise in server software applications or routing protocols not required Analysis and Problem Solving - Solves unique problems through evaluative judgment and precedent. Independently applies sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues and develops new concepts, methods and techniques for cross-functional initiatives. Recognizes and pursues alternative methods.
