Job Title: SQL Programmer Location: Brooklyn, NY Duration: Full Time SCOPE OF SERVICES MoVIS - Mobile Vending Inspection System Bureau of food safety and community sanitation is responsible for inspecting Mobile Food units in addition to Food Service Establishments. There are approximately 5500 permitted units in NY City and double the number of unpermitted units. Every permittee who owns a unit is required to have a vendor license and there are about 19000 vendor license. A vendor can work in any unit as long as he has a vendor license and is valid. All the units should be serviced at the commissary at least once. BFSCS should inspect all the units atleast once in a year while in operation. Presently they are carrying out their day to day activities of maintain DECALs, assigning work to Inspectors and performing the inspections using paper. The consultant will be part of the project team that will implement this new system by integrating MoVIS with ODS (DOHMH's Operational Data Store) and DEEP databases. This project will be a 2 phase project which includes the following: Phase I - Grading for food trucks . 10/31/2012 (Estimated time of completion) Phase II - Pre-operational inspections, cycle inspections, grading for mobile food units, website . TBD General Scope . Meet with programs to understand data and requirements for new system . Set up a matching process and data correction procedures . Perform data analysis . Perform data mapping and creation of data dictionary . Develop, design, implement, enhance, maintain and analyze database systems, queries, . and procedures in Oracle 9i & up environment . Building performance data integration solutions, including extraction, transformation, and . load (ETL) packages to other systems (ODS and DEEP Databases) . Document all procedures and solutions . Testing data to make sure that integration is successful MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered. . At least 4 years of overall development experience . Develop, design, implement, enhance, maintain and analyze database systems, queries, . and procedures in Oracle 9i & up environment . Advanced expertise in building high performance data integration solutions, including . extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) packages . Advance expertise in data mapping . Proficient in in writing SQL queries, defining and manipulating Database schemas. . Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database development using Microsoft SQL . Server 2005 & above . Strong data analysis skills to ensure that data is properly converted from legacy . database to new database . Familiarity with the exactness of data and able to compare data set, finding common or . differing elements. . Adhere to all the Data management procedures .
