Role: Java programmer with .Net Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Chicago, IL Description: The Information Systems Department seeks an Application Developer and Systems Analyst III. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting enterprise business systems and services that support the Laboratory's business and scientific organizations. The candidate will have domain knowledge including several business disciplines (Accounting, Procurement, Human Resources, etc.) and will work extensively with various organizations throughout the Laboratory. This position requires extensive experience installing, configuring, integrating and operating off-the shelf software applications. In addition, the candidate should have a strong knowledge of one or more software development or implementation methodologies. The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and end users. Qualifications and Essential Job Functions • Bachelor Degree required, preferably Information technology related. • Master's Degree, highly preferred. • 10+ years experience with one or more 3rd generation programming languages (JAVA,C,C++,C#). • Expertise in Data Structures and coding constructs and best practices. • Demonstrated experience with one or more large enterprise ERP systems (Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, SAP). • Expertise with system analysis tools and techniques. • Expertise integrating applications and systems. • Experience in a main stream system development methodology, required. • Skilled in eliciting requirements and translating them into technical specifications. • ITIL knowledge, a plus. • Proven ability to supervise, instruct and review the work of others in a group. • Demonstrated ability to work within a complex environment and organization. • Ability to effectively communicate and describe work details and relevant technical matters, both orally and in writing.
