Position: Oracle DBA Location: Philadelphia, PA Duration: 6+ months //Oracle DBA//Philadelphia, PA//6+ months MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE CACHE EXPERIENCE!!! Desription Cache DBA who will responsible for reviewing, evaluating, designing, implementing and maintaining company databases and associated policies. Expectation include ability to implement data models and database designs, resolves database performance and database capacity issues as well as perform disaster recovery and other distributed data services consistent with company policies; Installs, upgrades and maintains database and application software and database networking configurations. Will be Responsible for the design, implementation and support of Cache and/or Cache Server databases. Expert in use of SQL; Strong working knowledge in one or more of the following UNIX/Open-VMS/Linux/Sun Solaris and their basic command set. Responsible for RDBMS object design, implementation and maintenance. Recognized as an expert and internal consultant on specific technologies. Enhances technology awareness and expertise through professional journals and organizations Required Experience: 5+ years of Oracle: Ability to design, implement and support Cache production databases for high availability, security, manageability and reliability. Ability to design, implement and support high volume transactional databases. Ability to design, implement and support large database implementations Proficiency in Cache partitioning, RAC, ASM, Advanced Security, Data Encryption, Data Guard Proficiency in Cache backup and recovery techniques including RMAN, EDM Legato, Online backup Proficiency in performance tuning Strong knowledge or Cache & PL/ SQL, Unix and shell scripting Knowledge of data migration, data archiving and data access techniques.
