Hi,

I'm having a little issue with the init/reboot applet. I know 1.1.3
is an old version but it would really be nice if I could find a patch
to fix my problem.
I'm running busybox on two different architectures: arm and i386. My
arm compiler is based on gcc-4.01 while my normal gcc is version
4.1.0. I don't think this gives the problem, but it could.
On the i386 based system the init and reboot applet works perfect.
When I try the arm version to reboot it hangs saying "Please stand by
while rebooting the system.".
I've added a 1.5.0 busybox but renamed it to busybox.new and changed
the original init link to busybox.new. After a powercycle I've tried
the reboot again. It worked. It even works with both the 1.1.3 and
1.5.0 busybox.
I think it has something to do with a patch of busybox/init/init.c but
I've trying to find the patch which fixed this issue but I didn't find
it. Does anyone remembers an issue/fix like this?

Btw, searching the website I saw a link to the weekly busybox
newsletter but there isn't much to read at
http://busybox.net/downloads/news

Kind regards,

wimpunk.
