thank you for your answer.

I have indeed modified busybox; added an applet which needs ncurses.
Makefile.flags was one file where I didn't look into. But unfortunately
If I added fitting lines to it, it doesn't help either.

I still get the message `undefined reference to ..'
-> printw mvwprintw wborder waddch wrefresh and others

LDLIBS += -ncurses
or:
LDLIBS += /usr/lib/libncurses.a
