Let us rename CONFIG_DESKTOP -> CONFIG_POSIX. Then add CONFIG_GNU and make all GNU stuff depend on it. ps is a corner case, no need to discuss whether a particular switch is POSIX or GNU. Let us just give it required no-op switches, close/suspend the issue and proceed to Walter Matrix. We can treat ps more thoroughly later.
