Once upon a time there were small modutils which treated insmod a synonym of modprobe to make life easier. Hardly anyone had accepted that. Indeed, it is way hard to correct (=cleanup) the scripts which are dated 1 A.C. but are still considered standard. A lot of man-hours are being spent to teach & learn all the quirks that scripts contain. Weak attempts to put it clear what are BB standard have been made but they all have successfully gone in vain. I think there is no need to copy and feed bad habits. No need to be a drop-in replacement for everything, thus, for nothing. Those who once felt the power BB gives them, never will get back to vanilla bloatware volunteer. So in the absence of standards a standard has to be made by us. Regards, -- Vladimir
