Killing "ping" with -2 does stop it.

Actually, CTRL+c works fine when connected through SSH, but doesn't
when connected through the serial port. This is the first time I'm
having this issue.

Also, I don't know if it means anything, but I also notice that the
keypad no longer works, while it was OK previously while still using
Hush as the shell.
