The SEQNUM mechanism relies on polling, which is ugly. The netlink-based
mechanism is notification-based. Sure, it requires a daemon, but since it's
busybox and most busybox-based systems will already have long-running
busybox processes (if only a getty), it does not matter much.

I'll try to submit a patch that enables netlink functionality for mdev.
Should patches be provided against the current (1.19.2) release?
