  It goes on to give some examples.  Is this what you're looking for?

  I'm not a programmer or a developer; just an annoyed Gentoo user who's
using mdev to avoid the "new and improved" udev monstrosity.  I'm the
rabble-rouser who started https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Mdev.  What's
there now is mostly the work of a several other people.
