Ah, bingo. I am embarrassed. My developer machine and all the firmware we build now are, indeed, at 1.27.2, but this report comes from the field and those boxes are still running (ancient) 1.23.2. I missed that. Of course, why a handful of boxes go out of whack over 100ms several times a day is still an interesting question for us, but I suppose we'll turn our attention to hardware and not ntpd.
