Dear Members,
This Sunday (31.08.2008), the Kolkata team will visit Ghughupara Bheri area of
Howrah District. This area is very good for butterflies and also for water
birds. A rail track goes all along this stretch, and we generally walk
following this track. Both sides of the track are full of biodiversity.
Previous butterfly sightings include Indian Sunbeam, Falcate Oakblue, Bright
Babul Blue, Bush Hopper, Common Bluebottle, Pioneer etc.
As it is a day long programme, therefore please bring adequate water, food and
umbrella.
