Dear Bhumesh,
Your insect is a day-flying hawkmoth of the genus *
Cephonodes*. I cannot see a spine on the end of the tibia of the foreleg and
the underside is white rather than orangish, so it is most likely to
be *Cephonodes
hylas hylas* (rather than the closely related *C. picus*). You can find out

Hi
Please let me know about this insect bigger than a honey bee. Not at all
sitting on the flower but sucking the nector with its long tube while flying
and staying on the flower.
Clicked at dehradun with my Nikon D80.
