Some butterflies shot on campus at Calicut. Not sure about the id of the Cerulean. Have absolutely no clue what the brown is ( pic no. 5 ).... doesnt come close to anything I've seen before... nor anything in the book. The Flat ( 6 ) looks similar to a Spotted Small Flat, but there are significant differences in the white patches on the forewings. The SSF's wing border is not continuous as that in the photo attached. The skipper ( 8 ) looks familiar, but again, I couldn't pin down any particular species. The brushfooted butterfly ( 9 ), again I have no clue about. Flight very different from a tiger flight.
