Subject: [ButterflyIndia] Back from the 2nd Asian Lepidoptera Conservation
Symposium

Dear Friends,
Just returned from Malaysia after attending the 2nd Asian Lepidoptera
Conservation Symposium in Penang. This time there was a good representation
from India (we were six from India), and I could present BNHS work on
Conservation through Awareness.  It was a great gathering of people working on
moths and butterflies with some great luminaries like Dr. Jeremy Hollway, the
author of the 17-volume work on Moths of Borneo, -a giant among us but yet so
modest.  And  ofcourse  we had our hero  Dr. Roger Kendrick (from Indianmoths
Egroup) who made it all happen. Yes, a  lot more good work is happening
to conserve Asian lepidoptera in a well organised action plan.  I will  keep
you informed  and how you can also get involved, since there are plans to
host one of the forthcoming Lepidoptera Symposiums in India. So friends, be in
touch.
Cheers!
Isaac
