Much obliged, Bala. For comparison, here are Internet photos of last-instar
Commander (Moduza procris) cats from:

Hong Kong – http://images2.fotop.net/albums/cswu/cswu72/DSC_4916.jpg
Malaysia – http://www.sgbug.org/butterflies/show_photo.php?img_id=5307

Best wishes,

Keith

Dear Keith

That's interesting!

I have seen and photographed the same larva before!
attached are two shots of the larva showing details you required!

Excellent snaps, Bala! Do you have side and top views of the entire larva? I
ask because Commander cats in India appear to be considerably lighter in
coloration (mostly brown) than those found in eastern Asia (more blackish), and
I would like to confirm this.

Thanks very much,

Keith
