Friends, Do all Common/Striped Tiger (Danaus genutia) larvae in India have a brown ground color, as shown here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/51/Stripedtiger_cat_sec.jpg? I ask because in many parts of the butterfly's wide geographic range, cats are primarily black (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3519/3271097182_ae96467b17_o.jpg) or black and white (http://www.insect-fans.com/bbs/attachments/month_0803/20080309_03604f1f13de41eac152W8r2uAQCFMMG.jpg).
