Hello Vinod, 

For differentiating butterflies from months its always better to look at the 
antennas. Butterflies have clubbed antennas, while the moths have hooked. 

This butterly was id'id because of its pretty typical pattern on the wings. And 
having photographed it personally, its sticks to the head :)
