Subject: [ButterflyIndia] PUPA ..a parasite host.

three days back i came across a pupa on a mango leaf. thinking it to be a
common baron pupa, i brought it home. while looking at it closely , i found
some blackish colouration and thinking that it might be a different species, i
kept it under observation. 2 days later the container in which the pupa was
kept was full of small flies! taken by surprise , i closely observed and
through a small hole in pupa, the flies were coming out ! then i realised that
the pupa was hosting a parasite fly larvae. sending a few pics. i have also
came across a wasp infesting common crow caterpillar. about that later
