Reply from Dr. Kumar Ghorpade - The flies in the image are Sturmia convergens (Wiedemann) [ = bella Meigen ] which is a well known parasitoid of Danaus chrysippus. The other image is of a Syrphidae (!) larva, most probably Episyrphus viridaureus (Wiedemann) and has no connection to the butterfly.
