PARIS PEACOCK (Papilio paris)
 
The butterfly was observed laying eggs on Evodia roxburghiana
Between 9 to 10 AM ,under the leaves near the stem in all the cases.
Eggs were found from 7 ft height and above on medium sized trees
below 15 ft ht.The only caterpillar found in the field was at the toplevel 
foliage of a tree at about 15 ft height which was a first instar larva feeding 
on tender leaves .
An infected pupa was found hanging from a matured leaf at 7 ft height of a 20 
ft tree.The larvae fed on tender leaves and later on semimatured leaves
The caterpillar rests on top of leaves and wanders around at the time of 
moulting
