Pupa moved from branch to the lid of the container ? I think it was caterpillar, ready to form the pupa, when you moved it to the container. Later it crawled to the lid and formed the pupa.
During pupation, no way a pupa can move !!! Probably you can take more photos next time or if you already have these pics, please share.
